The center is located in Thessaloniki. It serves as the representative office of the Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine in Greece.
The Union of Greeks of Ukraine in Greece is a public organization founded in Thessaloniki in May 2022 by representatives of the Greek community of Ukraine. Its activities are aimed at supporting Ukrainian Greeks who found themselves in Greece as a result of the full-scale war, preserving their cultural and national identity, representing the interests of the community, and developing dialogue between Ukraine and Greece.

Our task was to create a cohesive visual identity for the Union that would bring together Ukrainian and Greek cultural contexts.
It shapes a contemporary and institutional image of a strong organization capable of representing the community and systematically cooperating with government institutions in Ukraine and Greece.

The research was conducted using archival materials provided by the Mariupol Museum of Local History, whose collections contain a significant number of artifacts related to the history and culture of the Greeks of Ukraine.
- FONT
The identity’s typographic system is rooted in the historical connection between Greek and Cyrillic writing. Developed within the cultural environment of the followers of Cyril and Methodius, the Cyrillic script inherited much of the Greek alphabet’s graphic structure. This relationship became the foundation for a contemporary typographic solution in which Cyrillic and Modern Greek character sets are united through shared proportions, forms, and visual character.
The typeface creates a symbolic bridge between Ukraine and Greece: rather than literally returning Cyrillic to its place of origin, it reinterprets its Greek graphic roots in a contemporary context. At the same time, both writing systems preserve their distinct identities, embodying both the unity and the differences between the two cultures.
For the Union of Greeks of Ukraine in Thessaloniki, this solution creates a restrained, contemporary, and institutional image — one of a strong, independent organization capable of representing the community’s interests and systematically cooperating with the Ukrainian and Greek authorities.
